"When you realize that a beautiful interior has very little to do with objects and a whole lot to do with spirit, general well being and upliftment you find the soul of interior design. If you have respect for your surroundings and everything has it's perfect place you interact with your world differently you carry yourself differently. My father used to say that the state of your surroundings is the state of your mind. Look around your home, let your home be the foundation of your aspiration."

Adding some much needed curb appeal

I am in the midst of improving my front door area to make it more inviting.  It needed some serious help and it's still a work in progress! Of course I somehow managed to delete my before pictures so all I've got are the afters.  So far I have painted the front door a deep blue in Georgian Bay (Benjamin Moore), added some pretty flowers and my new twig lanterns I blogged about the other day.  Eventually I will change out the recessed pot lights to pendants and add a larger door mat, maybe a small outdoor rug.

Georgian Bay

  1. That's a great colour Andrea, and very welcoming! We were looking for some good blues at BM today for some accents in the bathroom, I'll have to add this to our list of ones to consider.

  2. Looks gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing! xx

  3. Looks great Andrea! Love the lanterns. You must be thrilled. I know you've been wanting to do this for a while.
