"When you realize that a beautiful interior has very little to do with objects and a whole lot to do with spirit, general well being and upliftment you find the soul of interior design. If you have respect for your surroundings and everything has it's perfect place you interact with your world differently you carry yourself differently. My father used to say that the state of your surroundings is the state of your mind. Look around your home, let your home be the foundation of your aspiration."

Sarah's back!

I have decided to do a weekly blurb on Sarah Richardson's new season of Sarah's House on HGTV.  I have been watching her since the very beginning when she did a show called Room Service.  She was very crafty back then and I remember thinking wow this girl can do a lot with buttons! I have always loved her approach to design and how good she is at mixing pattern and texture. Make sure you check it out. For more about Sarah you can look her up at http://www.sarahricharsondesign.com/

These pictures were from last week of the entry/mudroom/powder room.  I'm not sure if I'm sold on the red closets.  I probably would have played it safe and gone cream!
