Credenza makeover

As many of you know I am not a DIY'er by any stretch of the imagination.  Yes, even painting furniture is a BIG project for me!  I really wanted to try the Annie Sloan paint because it's considered "girl" proof and very easy to work with.  Seriously, no sanding and no priming?  What's not to love?  I applied the first coat using a foam roller because I wanted a smoother finish without brush strokes.  I used a brush for the tighter spots around the doors.  The paint is quite thick so you can add water if you wanted to thin it out a bit.  I then applied the clear wax in small sections with a rag once it was totally dry and the last step was to buff it with another cloth.  I am really happy with how it turned out, let me know what you think!

    Stunning Andrea!!! Your new pulls are the absolute best choice you could have made for that. Where on earth did you find those beauties. Also, the art piece on the bottom right...where did that come from? I commissioned a piece for a client in Toronto and it looked very much like that. Wish I could remember the artist's name. Great job. I'm about to crack open my can of Annie Sloan today.

    Thanks Carol! I just added the sources at the bottom (forgot when I hit post). The painting is a limited edition from an artist on Etsy. Her name is Lori Mirabelli. She is from Ontario.

    Carol- my mind is somewhere else today, the painting is not a limited edition, that would mean there was more than one which there wasn't. She has great stuff and I love the hit colour.

    Love it Andrea. Did you paint inside? How did you find the wax worked - was it easy? I want to try chalk paint as well but with this cold weather - can't paint in the garage!

    Thanks Barb, no I didn't paint the inside, I may add some wallpaper to the bottom of the shelves. The wax was a little tricky, it left marks where I rubbed it in but I was okay with it.
