"When you realize that a beautiful interior has very little to do with objects and a whole lot to do with spirit, general well being and upliftment you find the soul of interior design. If you have respect for your surroundings and everything has it's perfect place you interact with your world differently you carry yourself differently. My father used to say that the state of your surroundings is the state of your mind. Look around your home, let your home be the foundation of your aspiration."

Love blogging, love coffee!

I was at a client's house today and she showed me a print she had just received in the mail.  When she pulled out the I Love You Blogs and Coffee print I said "I know Made by Girl!"   I asked myself why I have waited so long to order one of those for myself!!  So as soon as I got home I placed an order.  I have the perfect spot in my kitchen.

A little something I'm working on

I am putting together some ideas for a client's kitchen nook and this is what I've come up with so far.  Still a work in progress but I'm in love with the fabric and I think it will look great on the kitchen chairs.  The chairs will actually be cane backed chairs but this gives you the idea.

Equestrian chic

Lately I have been drawn to beautiful paintings or photography of horses.  I may have more of an appreciation because I was lucky enough to own a horse when I was young but I have never felt the urge to display it in my home.  Now I am reconsidering!  I thought these were lovely and would add a really graphic element to any room.

Perfection

I am in love with this bathroom!  The tile, the feather pendant, the tub.  It is absolutely stunning.

Back from South Pender Island

Just got back from a little boat trip over to South Pender Island and had a great time!  We docked the boat at a place called Poet's Cove and spent some time reading, drinking good wine, swimming and touring the Island.  The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and so did the adults!
